Laura Veirs-Ocean Night Song
"A Japanese fishing float carries my soul out to the whales, and out to the deep..."
I decided to change things around a bit as the new year comes around.
I have been wanting to change the name of my little blog for a while now and finally settled upon "born of the sea". What do you think??
The Reasoning:
I never really took much interest in my name when I was younger. Growing up, I was always wished I had a different name. All of my dolls and stuffed animals were named Elizabeth or Sarah. Very recently, I took interest in my name and decided to look up the meaning...
Morgan: welsh name meaning bright sea, sea dweller or circling sea.
I have always felt a draw to the sea and finding out the meaning of my name made me feel like I had even more of a connection. Deep down inside I feel is the spirit of an old sailor. He makes an appearance occasionally through my obsession for sea shells, sea gulls, whales and sailboats.
Anyways, I hope you all like the name. I rather like it. I feel it is more personal. I also changed the colors a bit. Sea-foam green is my absolute favorite color. Every time I see it I feel so relaxed and happy.
Some other changes to keep an eye out for as the blog progresses....
- I will be experimenting more with editing the photos I post, personalizing them a bit and tying them into my posts.
- I will be returning with my "Tea Time Tuesdays" posts, but with a bit of a twist. Instead of interviewing different bloggers I will just be sharing some of my favorite blogs with you lovelies (I have so many great ones to share!) This feature will now be called "I Would Like You to Meet..."
- "Friday Finds to Inpsire" will continue. I will make sure to be more persistent with the posting so look forward to them every Friday!
All in all, those are some of the changes that you can expect. I hope you like the ones that have already been made. Oh, also, make sure you note the url change as well. It is now: sheisbornofthesea.blogspot.com
Let me know what you lovelies think!
Amazing, amazing, amazing!!
