Aqualung-Good Time Gonna Come
Wow, it feels like it has been quit a while since I have posted on this little blog of mine. I feel that I have abandoned it, but have no fear I am back. These past few weeks have been filled with tons of traveling and vacation, from Cape Cod and Boston, to down the coast to Florida. I have been able to spend so much time near the ocean and it has truly been amazing. The ocean speaks to me like the voice of a ghost of a distant relative. I don't necessarily believe in past lives (hell I'm not sure what exactly I believe but I'll leave that for another post) but I feel that perhaps If I did have a past life, I was somehow connected to the sea.
In other news, life has returned to normal. I am back working, and enjoying time with friends. V comes home in less than 2 weeks and I am so excited, there are no words to describe it. I think that because there are less than 2 weeks until I see him again, I am finding myself extra impatient. We have gone 2 months without seeing each other and now it seems like these last 2 weeks are passing so slowly.
Now time for a bit of reflection:
As much as I try to keep this blog light and inspiring, it has also become a place for some occasional deep reflections. It seems to be a space to clear some persistent thoughts I find floating around in my head. As of recent, I seem to be struggling with what I want my life to look like as I get older. Without going into too much detail, let me just say that I know the way I don't want my life to look like, but am not really sure what I do want it to look like. An artist often needs reference to create something beautiful. I guess what I am saying is that I have had little reference. I guess I will need to find a way to inspire a little creativity of my own. I am just not sure how to get there.
Anyways, I will leave you with some pictures from vacation as well as other inspiring images and some music by the always soothing Aqualung.
